Monster of the Month Winners!

Alright so I am a little behind posting about our Monster of the Month contest here on the blog, so this post will cover the past two months lucky winners!

To start, congratulations to Luticha D. our June winner, who when asked "Where does your monster live" told us that "i hide colin under the blankets so my kitty doesn't find him. i suspect she is catching on as i found him on the floor when i came home from work. Luna, as usual, acted as if nothing was wrong."

We sent Luticha her very own Douglas for her winning entry. We also received a ton of brilliant responses to June's question and I have highlighted a few below. Thank you so much to everyone who took the time to participate, it was great to read that so many of our monsters have found happy homes!

Susan K. - Our monster lives at the head of our bed right in the middle. He pillows Rudi (who's 2) when he inevitable comes in to sleep with us at 3am and jams his head into the wall while getting comfortable. Monster's tummy now buffers that sweet little head and also sports a series of milk stains from the night drool.

E.k. - Henry is on the AC unit in the bedroom. Dave is on display in our glass cabinet bookcase (along with his story). Mr. Jefferson sits on high on top of bookshelf in livingroom watching the world go by. SSFF edition Andy keeps it real on the couch at the Endless Films office... Not sure where Owen is hiding at the moment...

Matt L. - Addy's monsters tend to wander in the night... They generally stay in her bedroom but that's not always the case - Kyle likes to guard the potty-seat and Colin can sometimes be found in the shower. Clementine arrived yesterday and has so far had Cheerios for breakfast, gone to the bank, almost gone for a swim and is currently drawing chalk monsters on the driveway...
Chris Harris Kyle lives in my fumehood in my lab, I find when I return in the morning all my reactions have changed colours and smell like peanut butter. I sometimes ask him to come home in the evening with me for a good square meal but he is ever so commited to his research. He believes that he can make a potion that will turn the pink squidgy humans into real monsters like him!!

Paul T. - guarding my computer from viruses and other malware

Megan M. - My monster's Bengie, Matthew, and Douglas all like to hide in my very messy closet. They hide in there and play games with each other until i come home and put them on my bed so they can look out the window and see all the birds that live in our front yard!!

Kylie S. - Under the armchair in the living room. He tickles my feet when I am blocking his view of the TV.

Anne H. - Brenda lives on top of the bookshelf in our bedroom where she does some light reading while we're fast asleep, and enjoys creating and playing with dust bunnies. Colin however, is another story...he spends his days sitting on the couch staring dreamily at the xbox 360 and then spends the whole night tossing and turning in our bed...what a mess.

Jane G. - Colin starts off in madison's bed, but then i grab him once she's asleep. then he hangs out on my knees while i read. (i put him back before she wakes up).

Kaurel T. - Well I did have Maggie, Andy, Kevin and Dennis on my shelf above my bed but they kept having these crazy loud parties and dropping on my face while I slept (whisper - u wouldn't think but kevin gets bad gas also)so I had to put a stop to it so now they have their monster parties on the day bed in the living room - o ya... they wanted me to let u know all monsters r welcome to come tare it up at the monster parties.

Now on to our July winner, Birdie S. who won a Booh monster! When we asked the question "Which monster would you like to be best friends with and why?" Birdie let us know that it was "Troy... cause he's the man of my DREAMZ ! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥."

Another big gigantic thanks goes out to all our July participants, it was very interesting to find out which monster you would choose to be your best buddy and why. I personally would be bff's with Andy, as we both share a love for entertaining shark movies! I've posted up some of the July responses below and if you really want to see them all you can scroll down our facebook page to find them. And remember that the 15th of every month a new question is posted up on our wall, so stay tuned for the next installment of Monster of the Month!

Lesley H. - If Stanley was my best friend, we could hunt spiders together (or at least be scared together) and start planning our Halloween costumes on November 1 - i think we should go as two peas in a pod.

Amberleigh K. - Sebastian and I are kindred spirits. The poetry, the drama, unrequited love, tense English classes. *sigh* I'm now grown, but I believe I could save the little guy some heartache and offer some empathy. I can see us sharing poetry and silent thoughts, listening to and playing music and scoffing at ridiculous trends. We'd be besties, though, he probably wouldn't admit it out loud!

Maya M. - Maya monster cuz she seems to be just like me youngest of eathlings, good a pickling food, and she gets underminded bcuz of her cutie-patutieness!! I think we would be the most awesome duo.

Farida P. - Bobby 5. Because 5 is my favorite number. I love his blue hair & we both look good in red

Michelle D. - El Gaupo - I know he is probably tied up somewhere in a foreign prison, but thats exactly why we could be best friends! And for Monsters who aren't M.I.A., Gordon or Gordon Bleu as I like to call him. I stroke his beard on not-so-interesting days.

Karol M. - I would hang with Todd. He's too cool for school. Plus he beats to the sound of his own headphones. I'm always wondering what he's listening to;)

Carrie L. - I like Clementine - we could share pink lipstick and hair bows - maybe go out for Ladies Night together ;-)
